Wells Fargo has hired Cristina Roberts as head of commodity finance within the bank’s energy group. She will be based in Houston, Texas.

Roberts leaves a 25-year stint at BNP Paribas, where her last role was head of energy and commodity finance, Americas for eight years. For just shy of 17 years prior to this, she was global head of commodities at Fortis Bank.

Between 1993 and 2000, Roberts was senior manager of MeesPierson, a Netherlands-based bank owned by ABN Amro.
