International law firm Vinson & Elkins has hired Eamon Nolan as partner in its New York office as it seeks to expand its capabilities in project finance and cross-border transactions across the Spanish-speaking world.

Nolan joins from Linklaters, where he served for eight years representing financial institutions, equity sponsors and companies in project finance, as well as other finance transactions. He advises project sponsors, investors, lenders, export credit agencies and other project participants in connection with complex energy and infrastructure transactions, including their acquisition, development, financing and divestment.

Speaking about Nolan’s appointment, Scott Wulfe, managing partner of Vinson & Elkins, says: “Eamon’s broad international experience and exceptional transactional skills will benefit the firm’s clients in New York, Latin America and beyond.”

Nolan, who speaks Spanish, will focus primarily on energy and infrastructure project finance and cross-border transactions in the US, Latin America and Spain.
