Steven van der Hooft, formerly of Inchainge (owner of The Cool Connection), has launched Capital Chains, a company specialising in training and consultancy on financial supply chain management issues.

The company, officially launched on September 1, is based in the south of the Netherlands.

“We work for banks active in international transaction banking, as well as corporates dealing with the increasing complexity around interactions between the physical and the financial supply chains,” says van der Hooft, the company’s CEO, about its remit.

“With our experience working for and with clients from all over the globe, we know what it takes to implement a sound financial supply chain management strategy. Also, we know how to ensure that your employees are always involved in this process,” he tells GTR.

Van der Hooft was previously director banking at Inchainge, a company responsible for the global roll-out of The Cool Connection: a web-based, business simulation game that bridges the physical and financial supply chains. He has also held positions at Dinalog (the Dutch Institute for Advanced Logistics), the Dutch Knowledge and Innovation Top Consortium (TKI) and Capgemini.

Capital Chains signed a partnership with Inchainge in early September aimed at securing continuous growth of The Cool Connection in coming years.
