Deutsche Bank has named Oon Li Sar as head of trade finance for Malaysia, within its Global Transaction Banking (GTB) division.

Based in Kuala Lumpur, Oon will be directly responsible for local trade sales and the expansion of the bank’s trade finance product offerings in Malaysia, a country where the bank foresees tremendous growth potential for its transaction banking business.

Roger Packham, head of trade finance, Asia Pacific, comments: “Oon Li Sar joins with over 10 years of banking experience, and we are certain that her efforts will contribute positively to the bank’s growth strategy for the franchise in the country.”

Before her appointment, Oon was the team head of FI cash and trade sales for Citibank in Malaysia. In that role, she was responsible for the overall sales of the financial institutions cash and trade business of the bank in the Malaysian market. Before Citibank, she was the team head of global client services in Bank of America Malaysia.
