TD Securities makes senior appointments in global transaction banking team

Investment bank TD Securities has appointed Vince Iarocci and Liza Januzi to senior roles in the lender’s global transaction banking (GTB) arm.

Toronto-based Iarocci (pictured) has been named managing director and head of transaction banking, while Januzi becomes head of financial institutions for GTB.

In the new role, Iarocci reports to Larry Wieseneck, the bank’s vice-chair, executive vice-president and head of corporate and investment banking.

He is responsible for overseeing products such as trade and working capital solutions, financial institutions and correspondent banking, and is tasked with spearheading the bank’s overall “transformation” of transaction banking.

This involves modernising its capabilities and integrating platforms to “deliver a more seamless, client-centric experience”, the bank said.

He has been with the GTB team for more than 12 years, with previous roles including head of GTB origination and head of corporate cash management, and spent 15 years prior to that in investment banking at TD Securities.

Iarocci said: “We have strong momentum across the business, and our focus now is on building a more integrated, client-centric platform that brings together our capabilities across cash management, payments and trade.”

Januzi reports to Iarocci and is based in New York. She will head up the bank’s global financial institutions business and is responsible for setting strategy, driving growth and deepening strategic partnerships, TD Securities said.

Januzi said: “By strengthening collaboration across coverage and product teams – and working closely with colleagues across corporate and investment banking and global markets – we are building a more connected platform that enables us to anticipate client needs and deliver tailored, strategic solutions across regions.”

At the start of this year, the lender hired former Bondaval and Wells Fargo executive Lisa Varney as a director to oversee trade and working capital products as well as credit insurance programmes.
