National Australia Bank (NAB) has hired Graham McNamara as head of syndications for Australasia. McNamara was formerly head of syndications at NAB before leaving around two years ago to join HSBC in Sydney as head of debt finance and advisory.

McNamara will report to Geoff Cullen, general manager of portfolio management and syndications.

Furthermore, Robert Armstrong, formerly global head of loan syndications and agency management, has become general manager of credit products following a restructuring of NAB’s corporate and institutional banking division.

As a result of his change in responsibilities away from the loan syndications area, Armstrong stepped down as chairman of the Asia Pacific Loan Market Association (APLMA) Australian branch in October and was succeeded by Stephen Boyd, director of global loan syndications at NAB.
