Joint venture trade credit insurer Solunion has launched in Costa Rica.

The company is co-owned by Euler Hermes and Mapfre. In Costa Rica, it will offer credit insurance for local companies via Mapfre, with risk management and service support offered via Solunion Mexico. It is now active in 10 Latin American countries.

Fernando Pérez-Serrabona says: “Costa Rica is growing at a good pace. Its strategic position on the American continent and its positive economic development in recent years provides promising opportunities for business growth within Costa Rica and, more broadly, with other countries in the region. Solunion wants to be part of this evolution, becoming the trusted partner for local businesses and helping them to successfully develop their operations.”
