Faisal Ameen has been named head of Asia Pacific global transaction services at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, replacing Ivo Distelbrink.

Ameen has been with the bank since 2010 as head of treasury products, APAC. He joined from Citi, where he headed up the Vietnam transaction services team, as well as holding various positions in Hong Kong, Dubai and Singapore.

Distelbrink has left the bank, according to an internal memo seen by GTR and confirmed by a spokesperson, but they were unable to confirm his next appointment. He had been in the role for six years, when he also joined from Citi.

Ameen remains based in Singapore and will report to Ather Williams, head of global transaction services, and regionally to Jiro Seguchi and Elif Biligi Zapparoli, who are the co-heads of APAC global corporate and investment banking.
