Coface UK, a provider of credit solutions for businesses, has officially launched its Birmingham office as a new dedicated risk information centre and regional business development base in the UK. The centre’s main function is the collection and maintenance of all buyer information of businesses domiciled in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

Gerald Dobeson has assumed the new position of senior manager, risk information with a continued reporting line to Coface UK risk director, Ian Hollyhomes. In addition, Bob Frewen has been appointed to the newly created role of country information manager, Ireland, reporting to Gerald Dobeson, with responsibility for the collation and maintenance of risk information relating to Irish business entities.

Further expansion is planned, with the appointment of a number of regional risk analysts to undertake on-site assessments and develop company relationships.

Also based in the Birmingham office will be the Coface UK regional commercial team, headed up by Danny Greechan, newly appointed regional commercial manager. The team will be responsible for developing business regionally, cross-selling the range of Coface UK’s credit management products and services and providing an opportunity for regional specialist and general brokers to build closer ties with Coface UK.
