Coface UK, the provider of credit solutions for business, has appointed Russell Warner as sales director.

Reporting to Jon Lindsay, Coface UK’s managing director, Warner will be responsible for building the company’s new receivables finance direct sales force. The new sales team is being created following the success of Coface UK’s receivables finance offering launched in September 2004.

The direct team will complement Coface UK’s existing work with brokers and help introduce receivables finance to a broader range of businesses, including those looking to expand their export capabilities.

Coface UK will continue its strong support of brokers, including the provision of comprehensive training on Cashflow Trader and Finance Trader – two services that combine credit protection, early claim payment and finance to increase flexibility for businesses in managing their cashflow.
Warner has spent 14 years in the receivables finance industry and has extensive experience of recruiting and building sales teams. He joins from Eurofactor, the commercial finance network, where he was group commercial director with responsibility for sales and marketing.

Before that he was managing director (south) at Euro Sales Finance, now part of Royal Bank of Scotland, where he developed and launched the Thames Valley strategic business unit.
