Lars Millberg has been appointed global head of trade finance at SEB in Stockholm. Millberg was previously deputy global head of cash management sales, and has a long history with the bank. He started off in the merchant and commercial banking division in 1994. He has also played a central part in the development of the bank’s cash management services.

“I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to lead SEB Trade Finance and work with such a talented and committed team,” says Millberg.

High on his agenda is the development of products and solutions that will enable customers at SEB to increase sales to difficult markets while reducing the associated risks.

“Our clients often require solutions that are hybrids of several product areas, and with my experience from cash management I can contribute to understanding their needs,” explains Millberg. “Exciting times await the trade finance industry, and SEB’s strong market position means that the bank is able to provide a broad spectrum of products and services to meet these changing requirements.”
