Noble Group, a global supply chain manager of agricultural, industrial and energy products, has appointed Theodore (Ted) Robinson as executive vice-president and head of its clean fuels and petroleum products division, based in Stamford, Connecticut.

Robinson will manage Noble’s global ethanol, clean fuels and petroleum businesses which include offtake agreements exceeding 300mn gallons with ethanol producers. The group’s expanding energy division also includes its global leading coal and coke and carbon credits businesses.  The division’s revenues rose 34% in 2006.

Robinson joined Noble in March 2002 and was previously a vice-president in the division, focusing on the gasoline blendstock business. “He brings over 30 years “experience in fuels refining and physical trading,” says Noble Group CEO Richard Elman. “Ted has a strong track record and most importantly the know-how to get things done.”

Before joining Noble, Robinson worked at Phibro Refining in the US.  He replaces Fabrizio Zichichi.
