After leaving Nedbank in October, Anne-Marie Woolley has joined the UK branch of Bank Leumi, Israel’s largest bank, as a trade finance consultant.

With over 35 years’ experience in international finance, Woolley previously led teams at Barclays, Standard Chartered and Standard Bank, focusing on trade and commodity finance for Africa.

She has been on gardening leave since she stepped down as head of energy and metals in Nedbank’s global commodity finance department in October last year.

Gil Karni, CEO at Bank Leumi UK, says the appointment “will help the bank strengthen close partnerships and develop new ones with companies who are looking to trade with Israel”.

Apart from the UK, Bank Leumi also manages subsidiaries in the US and Romania.
