Hansjorg Kessler has left Nedbank in London, where he was head of structured trade finance for the past year. He has crossed over to HSH Nordbank to head up the bank’s expanding commodity trade finance team dealing with metals and energy from London.

The department’s soft commodity business is headed up out of Hamburg.

Kessler says: “HSH is the only German bank growing and with a plan for future growth in this area. We have a very positive attitude.”

The emphasis will be on Central and Eastern Europe to start with, but with an eye on the Middle East and Latin America, comments Kessler.

Kessler was at DZ Bank before Nedbank.
