Trade credit insurer Marsh has appointed Steve Lundin as CEO, Middle East and North Africa (Mena) in Dubai.

Lundin will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Marsh’s Mena operations and will further extend the range of solutions and services for clients in the region’s high growth markets. He will report to the president of Marsh’s international division, David Batchelor.

Lundin previously worked at Marsh New York where he was responsible for managing the company’s US commercial property insurance business. He was then appointed general manager of Marsh China in 2011. Prior to his time at Marsh, Lundin was a managing principle at Integro Insurance Brokers, responsible for sales and client relationship management.

“Steve Lundin brings strong knowledge and expertise to the region from his time in China and has a keen awareness of the needs of companies in fast-growing economies that want to expand both in their local markets and internationally,” says Batchelor.

“Steve’s extensive experience working with clients from a wide range of industries makes him well suited to develop our offering in the region,” he adds.

Lundin replaces Robert Makhoul, who takes the position of executive chairman at Marsh Mena.
