Jean Lanier, chairman of the Euler Hermes management board will leave his position effective on May 31, 2004, at the end of the 2004 annual shareholders’ meeting of Euler Hermes.

To succeed Lanier, the supervisory board of Euler Hermes has appointed Clemens von Weichs, who is currently serving as chairman of the management board of Euler Hermes Kreditversicherung and as a member of the management board of Euler Hermes.

As of the same date, Jean-Marc Pillu, the current chairman of the management board of Euler Hermes Sfac and a member of the Euler Hermes management board, will also be appointed group general manager (directeur g én éral).

Gerd-Uwe Baden,current chief executive officer of Allianz Suisse, will join the management board of Euler Hermes Kreditversicherung as of October 1, 2003. He is scheduled to replace Von Weichs as of June 1, 2004 as chairman of the management board of Euler Hermes Kreditversicherung and a member of the management board of Euler Hermes.
