Coface UK, a provider of credit management solutions for business, has created a new London markets team to coordinate the promotion of its range of products to brokers and specialist financial institutions dealing within the London market.

The team will offer Coface UK’s full range of business to business credit solutions, but will initially focus on export single risk, political risks, multinational credit insurance and non-standard insurance linked to underlying trade finance.

The new team will complement Coface’s existing political risk capability within Unistrat Coface which is offered on a worldwide basis. The London markets team will rely upon the expertise of Unistrat Coface, which remains the group’s centre for single and political risk, together with Coface UK’s success in the UK to provide a coordinated point of contact to target the specific London market.

Using Coface’s worldwide experience, Coface UK can offer the London market access to the broadest trade credit and political risk capability available. With the addition of competitive finance facilities, Coface UK can provide full service trade finance to brokers and clients to support deals from start to finish.

Headed by Joe Blenkinsopp, the four-strong team will undertake proactive business development to enhance relationships with specialist London-based brokers and financial institutions focussing on international trade.

Blenkinsopp has extensive experience in the political and trade credit risk field and is well known in the industry for his work as a broker whilst at Marsh, Sedgwick and Willis. He will be supported by senior transactions manager Lars-Erik Granqvist.

Granqvist has broad experience in complex multinational credit insurance transactions linked to finance. Two support staff, with technical and administrative responsibility, are to be appointed.
