Andrew England has departed his position at Lloyds, with the bank dissolving the head of transaction banking role.

In a statement issued to GTR, a Lloyds spokesperson thanked England for his time at the bank and explained that the bank is changing the structure of its commercial banking operation.

“In October of 2013, commercial banking’s two key products businesses – commercial finance and transaction banking, which provide the main product solutions to commercial banking’s clients – were brought together under the leadership of Ed Smith. Today the strategy for this combined team, its new operating model and single leadership structure has been announced. It will now be called global transaction banking, to reflect the role this area has in supporting UK clients transacting abroad or international clients transacting in the UK. Ed Smith will continue to lead this combined team as its managing director.”
