Lloyds Banking Group has appointed Paul Fennell as head of trade asset management.

Fennell’s remit is to manage the trade distribution capabilities of Lloyds Bank across all market segments as well as the bank-to-bank trade finance business. He reports to Clive Higglesden, head of trade and supply chain product, global transaction banking.

Fennell previously served at Standard Chartered Bank for just shy of nine years. His final role there was trade asset sales director with responsibility for the Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan region, which he did for six years. Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Fennell was at American Express for 15 years, specialising in trade asset distribution.
