Sridhar Kanthadai has been hired as head of transaction banking for Asia by JP Morgan.

He joins from Standard Chartered, where he was most recently head of transaction banking for China and North East Asia and will start his new position in April, based in Hong Kong.

He replaces Dianne Challenor, who left the bank in 2016 to join Westpac. Kanthadai will report to Nicolas Aguzin, chairman and CEO and head of banking for Asia Pacific, and Takis Georgakopoulos,  global head of treasury services, in the US.

Kanthadai worked at Standard Chartered for four years, after joining from Citi in 2012. He held a number of roles in treasury, trade and transaction service over 12 years at Citi, around the Asia Pacific region.
