Amita Jhangiani has joined Citigroup’s corporate and investing banking team as managing director, global transaction services (GTS) Asia-Pacific trade head. Jhangiani will be responsible for Citibank’s trade products across the region, including Japan, for corporate and financial institutional clients.

Jhangiani recently left Deutsche Bank, where she was managing director and trade finance head for Asia Pacific. In this capacity, she was responsible for managing sales, product management, distribution and operations of all the bank’s trade products across the region.

Jhangiani reports to Shayne Elliott, Asia-Pacific regional head of GTS and Claudia Slacik, global trade head in New York.

Roger Packham has replaced Jhangiani at Deutsche (see GTR, Jan/Feb 2006, p22). He recently moved over from Citibank, where most recently he was regional trade services product manager for Asia Pacific.
