Noble Group has appointed Gary Mize to assume the newly-created position of global chief operating officer.

In this capacity Mize will report to the executive board of Noble comprised of Richard Elman, chief executive officer and vice-chairman Harry Banga. Mize will be responsible for overseeing the operational activities of the group globally.

Mize had a 25-year career with Cargill during which he held a number of key positions in their domestic and global grain operations. He subsequently spent 15 years with ConAgra as a senior executive responsible for several key operating divisions culminating as President of ConAgra’s Grains Processing Group, based in Omaha.

Elman comments: “Gary Mize’s appointment is a key building block in our plans to strengthen Noble’s management infrastructure, as we continue to build and upgrade our capabilities to grow successfully our worldwide franchise. Our ambition is to continue to strengthen our position as the premier Asian based supplier of strategic raw materials.”
