Banco Finantia SA, the Portuguese investment bank, has announced the appointment of Diana Bustamante as executive director to be based in its New York office. Bustamante, who will join Renato Schulman and his team of Latin American and Turkish specialists, will be responsible for Finantia’s trade finance origination and distribution in North America.

Before joining Finantia, Bustamante worked for six years as a vice-president at Standard Bank London’s New York affiliate where she was head of sales and trading of forfaiting assets. Before that she was with JPMorgan Chase where she was responsible for trade finance distribution as well as corporate finance for the Eastern European Desk. Her assignments also included working at the bank’s joint venture in Moscow.
