Alternative financier Falcon Group has named Ross Anderson as national business development director, for institutional clients in Australia.

Based in Melbourne, he reports to Paul Mitchell, managing director for Australia. Anderson worked as relationship management director at Westpac in the seven years to December 2017. Prior to this, he was a relationship manager with National Australia Bank.

His role with Falcon will focus on midcap and large corporations, driving the company’s growth among such firms.

Will Nagle, Falcon’s CEO, says: “Since launching in 2015, Falcon Group Australia has gone from strength to strength. Attracting someone of Ross’s calibre into the business is a great endorsement of our strategy and ambition and we are confident that his knowledge and experience will be vital as we continue our plans to grow and develop in Australia.”

Anderson adds: “While much of my banking experience entailed helping businesses of all sizes, my new role with Falcon allows me to take it that one step further. It also provides me with an opportunity to grow a relatively new arm for Falcon’s Australasian business. I am very much looking forward to building momentum and anticipate a busy year ahead.”
