Wells Fargo has hired Clarence Seet to head up trade sales for Southeast Asia.

Seet will be responsible for developing and executing the group’s strategy in the region, particularly around corporate trade finance. He will report to Kaushik Mukherjee, head of trade, South and Southeast Asia and Australia.

Based in Singapore, he joins the bank from Barclays where he was most recently head of trade and working capital for Southeast Asia and Australia. Before this he worked or ING, heading up their commodity finance team.

Prior to ING, he worked for DBS Bank as a manager in its investment banking division, and also held a number of roles at American Express Bank, Moscow Narodny Bank and UOB.
