Factoring and supply chain financier DS-Concept has opened a new office in Reykjavik, Iceland.

The new branch will target trading companies, seafood and consumer goods industries.

The company will offer credit facilities for Iceland-based companies supplying the US, Europe and Asia and transacting in dollars, euros and British pounds.

“DS-Concept has been providing financing to the seafood industry for the past 17 years,” says president of global commercial, Rene Pastor.

“Because of the large global network it has built in this industry, DS-Concept is able to introduce new buyers to Icelandic exporters.”

Iceland has a strong export-driven economy with fishing, energy and aluminum smelting as its staple industries.
