Trade finance provider DS-Concept has hired Charles “Doc” Lundberg as vice-president of sales in its newly established Los Angeles office.

Lundberg will be responsible for business development in the western region of the US, focusing on structuring supply chain finance and export factoring programmes for small and middle market companies (SMEs).

He joins from Meridian PO Finance where, as director of finance, he led over US$200mn of commercial transactions with SMEs.

Lundberg has more than 15 years of experience in financial management and deal generation, having previously worked for an investment advisory group and investment fund in Arizona, as well as for Sutro & Co and RBC Dain Rauscher, where he worked in capital markets, sales and trading.

“Throughout his entrepreneurial finance career, Doc has demonstrated an expertise in trade finance, debt and equity structuring, raising capital, and capital management that we feel will be a critical component to our growth in the US,” says Chris Chang, managing director of DS-Concept US and China. “We are enthusiastic as to what the future holds for our West Coast business development and see this new location as a critical component of the DS-Concept global network.”
