The chief executive officer of banking association Baft-IFSA Donna Alexander is stepping down from her role and leaving the company.

Alexander was the president of the Banker’s Association for Finance and Trade (Baft) before its merger with the International Financial Services Association (IFSA) in Q1, 2010.

“My three years at Baft-IFSA have been rewarding and fulfilling,” says Alexander.

“I’m confident that I’m leaving the organisation in much better standing than when I joined. Given the great strides we have made on our strategic initiatives globally, Baft-IFSA is well-positioned to move forward as the leading financial services association for international transaction banking.”

Baft-IFSA is currently looking for a permanent chief executive officer and has claimed it will place “an industry veteran” as interim CEO.
