Kauhshik Shaparia has been named head of corporate banking coverage, Asia Pacific, at Deutsche Bank.

Shaparia is currently head of global subsidiary coverage within the bank’s global transaction banking team, a role he will maintain alongside his new duties.

His new role will see him help grow Deutsche Bank’s corporate coverage, including within transaction banking. He reports to Louise Kitchen, co-head of institutional and treasury coverage. As part of his existing role, he continues to report to David Lynne, head of global transaction banking, Asia Pacific, and Michael Spiegel, global head of cash management.

Shaparia has been with Deutsche Bank for more than 30 years, covering trade finance, cash management and transaction banking, in both Singapore and India. He continues to be based in Singapore.

“Kaushik has a deep understanding of the Asia Pacific region and our clients, and he has been pivotal in the build-out of the bank’s flow corporate business in the region spanning across transaction banking and foreign exchange. This makes him ideally placed to lead our corporate banking coverage function in the region, critical for our continued growth ambitions,” Kitchen says.
