Fintech company Demica has hired Stefano Cavalleri in a newly-created senior credit analyst role.

Cavalleri joins Demica from Commerzbank where he was director of credit strategy. Prior to this he worked as a director of corporate credit at the Bank of America and a director at GE Capital.

In his new London-based role, he will focus on building Demica’s credit function capabilities and expanding the company’s advisory and structuring services.

“Stefano’s experience will be a great asset to support our client advisory services as well as our fast-growing placement activities across both receivables and supply chain finance,” says Demica’s head of structuring, Francois Terrade.

In other news, Demica recently unveiled a new portal for its trade receivables finance platform that will allow banks to access its transaction management tools and set up deals directly.

Revealed in June, the functions were previously only available through the fintech’s internal systems. Demica believe that by removing itself from the transaction process, it will allow banks to increase the volume of deals completed on the platform.
