JP Morgan Chase has named Robert Garcia vice-president and team leader of the newly named Cross-Border Products Group. Garcia’s appointment coincides with the consolidation of three teams responsible for providing international expertise to JP Morgan Chase commercial banking clients throughout the US. Garcia will report to Jackie Kaiko, senior vice-president, and will be based in Houston.

In this new position, Garcia will provide strategic support and direction for the growth of JP Morgan Chase’s Cross-Border Products Group. Garcia and his team will assist JP Morgan Chase’s commercial banking clients in the Southwest US with the full range of their global treasury needs, including trade finance.

Garcia succeeds Bob Blades who had served as team leader for the Texas Trade Sales and Service team since 1992. Blades will return to the International Client Management group, and will continue his work with a portfolio of foreign multinational companies.

Before re-joining the bank, Garcia held various sales positions with Bank of New York’s international division.
