Following the recent resignation of LFC’s marketing officers in Rossendale, who have accepted jobs with ABC International Bank, LFC has decided to close its office in Rossendale and re-focus its UK marketing activities from its London head office.

As a consequence, Ian Lucas has agreed to join LFC as its new head of UK marketing. Lucas is serving out his notice period with his previous employer, WestLB, where among other duties, he was also responsible for UK marketing. He is expected to join LFC in August.

“Ian’s previous experience of servicing the requirements of UK corporates at WestLB, Moscow Narodny and HSBC with his extensive experience of forfaiting and other trade finance products make him an ideal candidate for this role and we are delighted that he has agreed to join the team at LFC,” says Simon Lay, global head of forfaiting and trading at LFC. “The UK export market has always been and remains an important part of our business activity and we look forward to building upon the market share which we have established up over a period of many years.”

Lucas worked with Andrew Freeman, managing director at LFC, on the UK marketing side when Freeman was at WestLB.
