Eleonora Silva has been appointed as new Peru representative for the Andean Development Corporation (CAF), replacing German Jaramillio who will now become the new representative in Spain.

Silva has extensive experience of CAF’s operations joining CAF in 1994, moving from Banco Provincial in Venezuela. She has been treasury director at CAF since 2000.

“CAF’s mission is to support the governments of the region and we will continue in this endeavour. In our case, we confirm the corporation’s commitment to the development of Peru, through support for specific programmes and projects for the public and private sectors, especially infrastructure projects, but also social development,” she comments.

After making the appointment, CAF president and CEO Enrique Garcia announced that the corporation has approved various projects in Peru for the period 2007-11, totalling US$4bn worth of investment.
