BNP Paribas is opening a representative office in Stockholm, after many years of running its business in Sweden from it London or Paris offices.
By establishing an on-site sales team, BNP aims to cement existing clients and secure new customers.

Sweden’s economy is heavily dependent on trade, and has a well-developed industrial sector that has found success in securing trading partners in emerging markets. Ericsson is just one of many Swedish corporates that has established a strong presence in markets such as India and Pakistan.

Over the last few years, BNP Paribas has also developed its role from being a “pure lender” to its Swedish corporate clients, to becoming what they term as a “principal financial partner”.
