Barclays has appointed a new head to its trade and working capital team in Asia Pacific.

Brandon Feng has been appointed as head of the trade and working capital team across North and Southeast Asia. Feng’s previous title was head of trade and working capital for Asia (excluding India).

The news comes a month after Jeroen Reyes Stolker was appointed head of trade and working capital for the Middle East and India.

Feng and Stolker will both report to Baihas Baghdadi, managing director, head of trade and working capital, international.

Feng, commenting on his appointment, says to GTR: “Asia is one of the fastest growing markets for trade. Clients are expanding both within Asia and also in other regions including the UK, Africa and Europe.

“I am delighted to be given this opportunity to head up such a key market and will drive a continued client-focused strategy to deliver innovative, end-to-end suites of trade and working capital solutions to support our clients’ growth ambitions across our footprint.”

Commenting on both appointments, Baghdadi adds: “Both Jeroen and Brandon bring a wealth of experience to their new roles, and will allow us to effectively bring our global capabilities to our growing trade client base across the Asia Pacific region.”

Vinod Venkat has taken over Feng’s previous role of regional trade product management and solutions, Asia Pacific, while Nadeem Siddiqui, current head of financial institutions trade sales, Asia (excluding India) has expanded his role to cover global corporates, North Asia. Regionally, both will report to Feng, who is based in Singapore.
