Citi has appointed Stephen Chua as regional trade services head for Asia Pacific.

Chua will be based in Singapore, and as well as looking after Citi’s regional trade services, will be responsible for the trade product suite of the regional bank services group segment. He will report to Sanjay Tandon, regional head of trade, Asia Pacific.

Chua has been with Citi since 1990, holding various positions including relationship manager within its consumer bank, sales head of treasury and trade solutions in Singapore and supply chain sales lead for Asia Pacific. Most recently, he held the post of regional head of export letter of credit.

Speaking of Chua’s appointment, Sanjay Tandon says: “Stephen brings more than 25 years of valuable banking experience across consumer, corporate banking, corporate finance and debt restructuring, in addition to his vast experiences in transaction services, which for the last 12 years have been dedicated to trade.
