The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has appointed Obianuju Okafar to its specialised finance unit as manager, specialist finance, in Cairo.

An Afreximbank spokesperson confirms to GTR that Okafar will take a brand new role at Afreximbank, and will report to head of the specialised finance unit, Samuel Mugoya.

Okafor previously spent eight years at Diamond Bank in Nigeria, where she became team leader of correspondent banking. Her appointment at Afreximbank is effective September 1.
