Miller has hired Richard Griffiths as a senior broker to develop the use of non-payment insurance for banks looking to manage risk and capital effectively.

Throughout his career, Griffiths has specialised in the origination, structuring, pricing, syndication and optimisation of loans. He also brings experience in corporate banking and capital allocation.

Prior to joining Miller, Griffiths served as head of loan syndications for Danske Bank between 2002 and 2017. Before that he was senior director and head of origination at Bayerische Landesbank for four years.

In his earlier career, Griffiths held a variety of roles with Barclays during 15 years with the bank. His last position was as associate director, specialist banking/acquisition finance, which he held from 1996 to 1998.

His appointment at Miller follows that of Rosie Denee and Oscar Moseley who moved to the specialist insurance broker last year to join the credit and political risk team in London.

“Richard’s knowledge and experience of the syndicated loans market is an invaluable addition to our offering and will ensure we continue to provide the highest standard of service to our clients,” says Benjamin Gibbons, Miller’s head of credit and political risks for financial institutions.
