Adeline de Metz and Raphael Barisaac have been appointed UniCredit’s new global co-heads of trade finance, effective from August 1.

De Metz and Barisaac succeed Luca Corsini, who has been appointed global transaction banking (GTB) co-head alongside Jan Kupfer, also effective August 1.

The two new global trade finance co-heads will be based in Milan and report to Corsini and Kupfer.

De Metz joined UniCredit in 2012 as a senior banker in France and was then appointed global head of working capital solutions in 2016. Before joining UniCredit, she was head of retail industry group and deputy head of coverage at Natixis. She previously worked in client coverage, credit analysis and management consulting functions in various banking organisations, including five years in the US.

Barisaac joined UniCredit in 2015 as global head of trade products from Surecomp, where he held various positions for over 15 years in sales, operations, business development, account management and client projects, among others. In his last position at the bank he was global head of trade finance products. He started his career in banking at Mercantile Bank in 1994.
