Jamieson Logie has been appointed partner for Asia projects practice at law firm Sullivan & Cromwell.

Logie will be based in Hong Kong, having relocated from London, where he was in charge of projects for Emea.

He joined the firm in 1999 from Norton Rose and his appointment effectively gives the firm its first project finance offering in Asia.

The practice advises developers, borrowers and lenders on projects, mainly in the energy, extractive, power and infrastructure sectors.

Previous projects Logie has advised on include an US$8.5bn gas project financing for ConocoPhillips, Origin Energy and Sinopec in Australia in 2012 and a US$16bn financing for Chevron in Kazakhstan last year.
