Swedish export credit agency EKN has a more open attitude regarding short-term cover on Argentina, it claims. EKN is now willing to take a look at transactions on the whole of the private sector and not only transactions in the export sector. This change is a reflection of the improved economic situation of the country, the agency says.

Principally due to payment arrears, however, EKN is now completely off cover on the Dominican Republic.

The improvement of the economic policy of Cameroon, meanwhile, has led to a change in EKN’s policy there. EKN is now willing to support aid credits to the public sector.

Due to the problems in the financial sector of Nigeria, the agency is now more restrictive regarding which banks we would be willing to cover risks on. On the other hand, we are now willing, restrictively, to cover transactions on the telecom sector.
