During a meeting on February 21, Ukrainian ministers cancelled quotas for the export of feed grains (wheat, barley and maize).

According to the president of the Ukrainian Grain Association, Vladimir Klimenko, quota cancellation will positively effect Ukrainian grain market stabilisation. Also, he notices that everybody understands that quota introduction prevents the entry of Ukraine into the WTO.

After quota cancellation, the feed grain trade is expected to become more active and prices can go up, especially for maize.
