An Irish wind farm project has secured €92mn in debt financing from a range of lenders.

Gaelectric, the Dublin-based renewable energy company, has agreed to borrow €56mn from Nord LB, €30mn from the Irish subsidiary of Blue Bay Asset Management – which has seen investment from the National Pensions Reserve Fund of Ireland – and €6mn from Proventus Capital Partners (a Swedish corporate finance house).

The finance will be used to construct a 42MW wind farm in Dunbeg, County Derry – Gaelectric’s third operating wind facility (the others are in Roscommon and Antrim).
