Watson, Farley & Williams (WFW) has opened an office in Hong Kong, in association with Lau, Leong & Co (LLC).

The association will be led by partners Loretta Lau, Madeline Leong and Nicholas Hanna.

Lau is a corporate and capital markets lawyer, and was previously a partner at Goodwin Procter. Leong is an asset, project and structured finance lawyer at WFW, and was previously based in the Singapore office, and Hanna is a corporate lawyer at WFW.

The team will focus on work in the natural resources, shipping, offshore oil and gas, energy, transport, and banking and finance sectors.

Michael Greville, WFW managing partner comments: “As our very strong teams in our South East Asian offices have grown, and with the increased economic activity in Asia more generally, it became obvious that WFW required a complementary Hong Kong presence and direct access to mainland China.”

WFW now has 13 global offices.
