The directors of US Ex-Im Bank have named three new members to its Sub-Saharan Africa Advisory Committee. The committee provides expert guidance to Ex-Im in developing policies to strengthen Ex-Im support of US exports to Africa.
Ambassador Howard Jeter, executive vice-president of Goodworks International and a retired foreign service officer who most recently served as US Ambassador to Nigeria, chairs the committee.
Newly appointed members are Dennis Dubois, senior vice-president and director of International Trade Banking, Global Solutions Group, Sovereign Bank; Kanu Obioha, vice-president of policy and planning for Bluefield Associates in Ontario, California; and Michael Turley, director of accounting, The Connell Company, Berkley Heights, New Jersey.
The other committee members are: Patrick Baumann, treasury manager, Harris Corporation, Melbourne, Florida.; Patricia Desvergers, vice-president and CEO of Global Trading International, Washington, DC; Willene Johnson, retired 2005, Federal Reserve System, McKenney, Virginia; Franklin Kennedy, president, Equator Management Services, Avon, Connecticut; Barry Worthington, executive director of the US Energy Association, Washington, DC; and Gerald Zadikoff, CEO of GM Selby & Associates, Miami, Florida.
The advisory committee is scheduled to meet next on November 16 in the bank’s headquarters in Washington, DC. The meeting is open to the public.
