Brazilian development bank BNDES has approved four loans totalling US$89.5mn to support exports of Caterpillar Brasil, DaimlerChrysler do Brasil, Bertin and CNH Latin America. All four companies have extensive operations in Brazil.

US-headquartered Caterpillar will be entitled to US$50mn. CNH Latin America, which is owned by Fiat, will receive US$20mn.

DaimlerChrysler do Brasil will use the US$10mn financing to help export trucks, buses and other vehicles. Bertin will take the remaining US$9.5mn.
