Defining the next steps for UK exports.
The UK Trade & Export Finance Conference, the UK’s leading gathering of trade and export finance professionals, business heads and trade experts, took place at the Grange Tower Bridge, London on June 15. UK exporting was placed at the top of the agenda, with representatives from across UK industry sharing their experiences.
Supported by UK Export Finance, EEF, British Exporters Association, Confederation of British Industry (CBI), International Chamber of Commerce UK, Federation of Small Businesses and many more, this vital annual gathering assembled all parties involved in international trade who were able to discuss their priorities for the future.
Chairman for the day was Rt. Hon. Mark Simmonds, Former Foreign & Commonwealth Office Minister, while Louis Taylor, CEO, UK Export Finance provided a keynote address. Speakers also included representatives from multinationals, SMEs and industry bodies including JCB, EEF, Honda Motor Europe, CBI, Raytheon, Brompton Bikes, Rolls Royce, Xtrac, GKN, Northern Lights and Heathrow Airport, to name a few.
With discussions centred around the crucial role of trade and exports in growing the UK economy, senior figures from business and government took to the stage in a series of addresses and debates, with audience participation and networking at the forefront of proceedings.
For UK companies looking to enter international markets, source financing to grow their exports, or gain expertise from market peers, this key annual gathering provided a perfect forum to build key relationships.
In the evening following the conference was the annual UK Export Excellence Awards ceremony and gala dinner, recognising the achievements of the UK’s exporters over the last year.
Judged by an independent panel of experts, these awards reward excellence in exporting across a range of sectors and regions. The winners of this year’s awards were presented with their trophies here.
