Finnish engineering group Wartsila has won contracts worth US$450mn to supply two 341MW oil-fired power plants to Iraq.
The deal with Iraq’s ministry of electricity is Wartsila’s largest order ever for power plants and will be included in its order intake for the first quarter.
The order is scheduled for delivery during this year and next, so it will affect the company’s sales gradually.
