The need to facilitate the rapid growth in global trade is a bedrock for all nations, banks and corporates. Even more so as this area has been experiencing change in the last ten years with the growth in supply chain financing and the increasing popularity of sustainable trade finance, the push for digitalisation and emergence of new fintechs and technology and the creation of new legal frameworks and digital standards. There is a growing need to provide well-structured leading-edge content by recognised experts and highly experienced trainers in the field.

Whether you are an entry-level professional or an experienced expert, this course targets those who want to opt for a commercial banking career and trade professionals who want to enhance their career in banks, corporates and fintechs. It is designed to provide a strong understanding on the fundamental aspects of global trade finance as well the emerging trends.

Structured over six core modules, the first two modules will focus on an introduction to working capital and the fundamentals of trade. The next three modules will cover traditional trade capabilities, financing trade cycles and emerging trends in trade finance. The final module will conclude with a quiz to wrap up key takeaways.

The delivery of this course is highly interactive, with plenty of opportunities for students to discuss the topics covered in the course and relate them directly to their own work and experience in trade finance.
