Insurance firm Lockton International has brought in Jennifer Chan to its Singapore office to act as associate director for trade credit, political risk and surety.

Chan has worked in the trade credit and political risk industry for 14 years, including in a number of government-sponsored schemes.

At Lockton, she has been appointed as the scheme manager of the firm’s trade credit insurance programme.

The initiative was created by government agency International Enterprise Singapore to introduce the trade credit insurance product to Singaporean companies.

Under the scheme, the agency will subsidise 50% of the minimum premium for trade credit insurance policies placed at a Singapore-registered insurer.
